Aryan Electrosystem manufacture a qualitative range of APFC panels (Contactor Switching), which are manufactured using best quality material. These panels are power factor correcting system used for P.F. correction of loads with in short time. Easy to install, our range is available in both manual as well automatic functions. We offers wide range of APFC Systems that help in energy conservation by reactive power compensation under varying load conditions. These panels are provided with Thyristor/Contactor Controlled Automatic Switching of Capacitor Steps. It controls the Load Power Factor by sensing Load Current, Voltage, Phase difference between them and then analyzing the system using Micro Processor for the correction of Phase Angle by automatic switching On/Off of Power Capacitor Units.

APFC Range available: 5 kVAr to 1000 kVAr contactor switching, Air ventilation for Capacitor banks, Auto Manual facility. Designed to control smallest capacitor upto 5 kvar

  •  Most Advanced Micro Processor Technology adopted.
  •  Built in Automatic - Manual Provision for KVAR Selection.
  •  The Target Power Factor can be set as per customer requirement.
  •  3 Pole MCCB for Complete protection.
  •  Zero Voltage switching through Thyristor to limit switching surges.
  •  Selectable Power Factor correction time. Cycle - to - Cycle with Thyristor and 2 minutes with Contactors.
  •  Discharge resistance on Individual Capacitor.
  •  Stage on LED Indicator.
  •  Power & Control wiring with Copper multi strand ISI wire.
  •  Working temperature up to 55???.
  •  Cable Entry at the Bottom (Top Optional).
  •  Indoor/Outdoor Installation as per customer requirement.

Why we need Power Factor Correction

Every electric machine needs active power (kW) and reactive power (kVAr) to operate. The power rating of the installation in kVA is the combination of both: (kVA)2 = (kW)2 + (kVAr)2 or kVA = kW2 + kVAr2 The Power Factor has been defined as the ratio of active power (kW) to apparent power (kVA). Power Factor = (kW) / (kVA). The objective of Reactive Energy management is improvement of Power Factor, or "Power Factor Correction".

 Principle of reactive energy management

All AC electrical networks consume two types of power: active power (kW) and reactive power (kVAr):

  •  The active power P (in kW) is the real power transmitted to loads such as motors, lamps, heaters, computers, etc. The electrical active power is transformed into mechanical power, heat or light.
  •  The reactive power Q (in kVAr) is used only to power the magnetic circuits of machines, motors and transformers. The apparent power S (in kVA) is the vector combination of active and reactive power. The circulation of reactive power in the electrical network has major technical and economic consequences. For the same active power P a higher reactive power means a higher apparent power, and thus a higher current must be supplied.

The circulation of active power over time results in active energy (in kWh).

The circulation of reactive power over time results in reactive energy (kvarh).
